Fast forward to me at 18 years old and I began my first business, a network marketing company.
There I started to win but had a disagreement with my team leader and we parted ways.
Soon after going online to see how I could market myself better, I found writing a single blog post would be beneficial.
Shortly after, I went to a few seminars where I met a few speakers who asked me what I was good at, I answered:
“I’m terrible at traffic but 10 people read a blog post I wrote and 7 gave me money!”
They responded by telling me I was a copywriter.
When I got home, I told my dad.
He went up into the attic and pulled down a black binder.
In it, he told me to read the first few ads.
It didn’t take long (the third ad), that I started to recognize what I was being shown…
The stories I wrote for my dad through my teens were actually used in his successful direct mail marketing campaigns.
He told me to go for it.
Since then, I went through a series of shifts, having written for markets online and offline:
